Let’s discuss the exterior.

Appearance

The new Grand Cherokee keeps to the original Grand Cherokee design close enough that the enhancements may not be overly noticeable to the casual viewer. However, to those invested in being a Jeep owner, these upgrades from the previous year to the 2022 are more evident. For those Jeepers who keep up to date on all Jeep news and vehicles, you’ll notice this new Grand Cherokee closely resembles the Grand Cherokee L. The Grand Cherokee itself was created to bridge the gap between luxury and capability, so it is not surprising that the smooth, yet striking exterior of the 2022 is capable of taking you on any adventure you desire. With its optional 20-inch wheels and new sway bar disconnect, the 2022 Grand Cherokee’s looks only add to its potential to go anywhere and on any road.

Engine

Before we take off, it is likely that we should check under the hood. The 2022 Grand Cherokee comes with a standard 3.6-liter V6 VVT engine. If that’s not enough power, choose the optional 5.7-liter V8 Hemi engine. The power runs with 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque under the driver’s fingers.

Take a seat, and we’ll talk about the interior.

General Interior

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee has two rows to fit its passengers. Both rows give their occupants plenty of space and legroom without compromising the interior sleek look. This sleek look comes from leather trim seat options and the focus on important, but small, details. There is an option to have heated seats for both rows, not just the front two. Cup holders were added to help combat any accidental spillage. To help declutter, a wireless phone charger was installed to remove the need for the charging cord. Even the audio was refined with the option between six or nine speakers to surround the cabin and assist the audio system. There’s even an available sunroof to watch the clouds or allow more fresh air in.

Driver’s Seat

While the Grand Cherokee is accommodating to all of its passengers, there are certain perks of being the driver. The driver’s seat comes with extra seat adjustments for maximum comfort so you can pay better attention to the road and not on your feet falling asleep. Other driver perks include a heated steering wheel, remote vehicle start, 10.25-inch Fully Digital Driver Information Cluster Display, and more. The biggest perk of being the driver, though? The standard safety features.

Safety Features

The available safety features with the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee are Drowsy Driver Detection and alerts, Night Vision sensors, Intersection Collision Assist, Surround View Camera with 360 aerial view, Full-Color Head-Up Display on the windshield, and Traffic Sign Recognition. Jeep Connect also makes it easier to connect your car and your phone, which gives you access to your car and car services outside of your vehicle. These extra features work with the standard driving assist features to relieve some stress of driving.

The 2022 Grand Cherokee will be making its way to dealerships in the winter of 2021, so keep a close watch for when it arrives at Landers CDJR in Little Rock. Check out the link above to see our current new Jeep Grand Cherokee inventory.
