The 2019 Cherokee was unveiled mid-January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan during live broadcast.

The Cherokee is a mid-size SUV and it’s definitely the most unique-looking of all the vehicle’s in Jeep’s lineup. The 2019 Cherokee still has it’s own look, but it’s more in line with the iconic Jeep styling.

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee is a looker.

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee has a new front fascia, hood, daylight running lamps, LED headlamps; and fog lamps; five new wheel designs, including 19-inch premium wheels on the Overland model; open-air freedom with the available dual-pane sunroof; and handsfree, lightweight power liftgate.

The visual update continues to the interior with Satin Chrome and Piano Black high-gloss accents, more rear cargo volume and more convenient storage space.

Power and Capability.

Along with the new 2.0L turbo engine, in addition to the 3.2L Pentastar V6 and 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir 2 engines, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee has best-in-class Jeep Trail Rated capability. It has up to a 51.2:1 crawl ratio, Jeep Selec-Terrain traction control system with up to five modes and enhanced four-wheel-drive systems. The 4WD systems are:

• Jeep Active Drive Lock with two-speed Power Transfer Unit (PTU), low range and mechanically locking rear differential

• All-new Jeep Active Drive I with next-gen rear drive module that reduces weight while enhancing fuel efficiency and performance

• Jeep Active Drive II with two-speed PTU and low range gear reduction.
