The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic: Everything You Need to Know

The Ram 1500 is the truck brand’s bread and butter. While some were pumped for the complete overhaul of the 2019 Ram 1500, others were bummed to lose the crosshair grille. However, this isn’t the end of an era we thought it was. Ram has now given its legacy truck the name “Classic” and there will be two different body styles of the 2019 Ram 1500 sold.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic will arrive at Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Little Rock, AR towards the end of the year and we are definitely glad to see this body stay a little while longer.

“As we launch the all-new 2019 Ram 1500, we didn’t want to walk away from a key part of the light-duty truck market,” Ram Head Mike Manley said in a statement. “Ram will continue to produce the 1500 Classic targeted at entry and commercial buyers.”

There will be four graders of 2019 Ram 1500 Classic: Tradesman, Express, Big Horn (known as the Lone Star in Texas) and SSV (Special Services Vehicle). The truck will have three new optional packages too. These are:

Chrome Plus

This package is offered on the Tradesman grade and includes chrome bumpers, body-color upper front fascia, 17-inch wheels, remote keyless entry and carpet floor covering.

Tradesman SXT

This package is also offered on the Tradesman and has a 5-inch radio, chro

me bumpers and body-color front fascia. It also features fog lamps, 20-inch chrome wheels and dual exhaust on V-8 models, all of which are new to the Tradesman.

Express Black Accent Package

All Express interior grades can upgrade to this package, which includes black badging, black headlight bezels and black wheels.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic comes in three cabs and bed lengths in addition to its four grades and three available packages. These are:

• Regular Cab with 8-foot bed or 6-foot, 4-inch bed

• Quad Cab with 6-foot, four-inch bed

• Crew Cab with 5-foot, 7-inch bed or 6-foot, 4-inch bed
