Celebrate Fourth of July Around Little Rock, Arkansas

After a year of being cooped up indoors, we’re ready to get outside, enjoy some fireworks and celebrate our country’s independence! There are plenty of ways to celebrate in Little Rock this year, and we’re here to share some of the most exciting events. 37th Annual Pops on the River

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is presenting the 37th Annual Pops on the River event at the First Security Amphitheater! This is the event of the season with live music, food trucks and fireworks, of course. The fireworks are shot off of the Main Street Bridge, so it’s bound to be a gorgeous display. All active and retired military can receive special discounts and promotions at the event. Entry is free to the public, but a portion of the proceeds benefits the Rock City Rescue, a local animal rescue that helps homeless, neglected and endangered animals into their forever homes. Fleet Feet Firecracker Fast 5K

Start your Independence Day celebration bright and early at the Fleet Feet Firecracker Fast 5K. The race starts at War Memorial Stadium at 7:30 a.m. and makes a loop past the Little Rock Zoo, through Hillcrest and back! All kids 12 years old and under will receive a participation medal for completing the race. All pre-registered participants receive a technical shirt, too! Let Freedom Roar! Fourth of July at the Little Rock Zoo

Every day of Fourth of July Weekend the Little Rock Zoo will have special activities for the holiday. Each day, there is an amphitheater school at 11:00 a.m. On Saturday, July 3rd there is a Freedom Parade at 1:30 p.m. Families are invited to bring their own stuffed lions to join in the parade. There will also be meet and greets with the zoo’s eagle ambassadors. Learn more and buy tickets on their website. 

Stars and Stripes Festival in Hot Springs Village

The Stars and Stripes Festival is a four-day event filled with boating, live music, fireworks and more! The event kicks off at the DeSoto Marina on Friday with live music featuring ShugaBeatz. Saturday there is a Kids Fishing Derby and a live concert with food trucks. On Sunday, July 4th, there is a concert and fireworks on Balboa beach. The weekend wraps up on Monday with the Stars and Stripes Fishing Tournament at Balboa Pavilion! Learn more on the event page here.
