Central Arkansas Organizations to Donate to this Year

This year has been challenging for us all. Many of us have been struggling to make ends meet, feeling lonely, lost and scared. Now more than ever, it’s important to take care of our neighbors and community members who have been greatly affected by the pandemic. Don’t know where to start? We at Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram have compiled our own list of Central Arkansas organizations to donate to this year! Once you’ve committed to giving to an organization, we hope you’ll share this with your friends and family and encourage them to donate, too! 

Our House

We all know that there’s “no place like home for the holidays.” While you may be upset to be home for the holidays this year, many homeless and nearly homeless individuals in Central Arkansas aren’t fortunate to have a home at all. Our house is an organization that provides housing and resources to families and individuals in Central Arkansas to help them find a way out of homelessness. Financial donations and donations of goods like coats, toiletries and other necessities are always appreciated. Contact Our House now to find out their greatest needs this season.

Restore Hope Arkansas

Restore Hope Arkansas is an organization that strives to reduce incarceration rates and the number of children entering the foster care system in Arkansas. Restore Hope understands that incarceration and foster care are complex issues that require a holistic, community approach. The organization works to provide struggling families and individuals with resources to bring them out of crisis such as safe and affordable housing, employment assistance, legal aid, food stability, childcare and more. Women and Children First

Women and Children First provides resources and assistance to empower women and children in Central Arkansas to live lives free of domestic violence. Arkansas Food Bank 

This year, millions of hungry Americans have faced food insecurity, and many have turned to food pantries of food banks like the Arkansas Food Bank for the first time. From now until December 31st, your donation will be matched to bring hope to Arkansans who have struggled to put food on the table during this tumultuous time. Make your donation here. 

UAMS COVID-19 Fund

The UAMS COVID-19 Support Fund covers costs associated with screening, testing and treating patients with COVID-19, specifically items such as personal protective equipment like gloves, gowns and masks, as well as thermometers. Donate to the fund here.
