Chrysler is partnering with No Kid Hungry in hopes of ending child hunger in the U.S.

“Through our partnership with No Kid Hungry, the Chrysler brand is able to help bring awareness to childhood hunger and support the organization’s work across America,” Head of FCA North America Passenger Car Brands Steve Beahm said in a statement. “Childhood hunger is a solvable problem. No child in America should go without a meal and, as a trusted family brand, our work with this campaign will help ensure more kids across the country have the food they need to learn and grow.”

In America, according to No Kid Hungry, one in six children lives with hunger and those kids are more likely to struggle in school and miss class.

No Kid Hungry launched in 2010 and has been working to make sure children are fed, and since then, one-third fewer children are facing hunger.

Chrysler has teamed up with No Kid Hungry to provide up to 1.5 million meals for children with the following initiatives:

Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry

This is a grassroots initiative to inspire Americans to host bake sales in their offices, schools, homes and other facilities to raise money to end childhood hunger.

Chefs Cycle

Part endurance cycle and part fundraiser, Chefs Cycle is a three-day, 300-mile ride where award-winning chefs and members of the culinary community come together to fight hunger outside of the kitchen. The next ride will take place in September and chefs and celebrities like Bryan Voltaggio, Chad White and Seamus Millen.

Taste of the Nation

Professional chefs, sommeliers and mixologists will attend these events in 25-plus cities to end hunger. The next event will be held August 29 in Chicago with Chicago chefs Chris Curren, Chris Pandel, Elissa Narow, Lee Wolen and Toni Roberts, and visiting chefs Cesar Zapata, Dale Talde and Kwame Onwuachi.
