Crush for a Cure 2017

October 5th, 2017 by

Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is proud to sponsor the 5th Annual Crush for a Cure at the upcoming Arkansas State Fair! Hanging out at the fair with friends and family while eating fried turkey legs and funnel cakes, playing games and riding rides is an Arkansas fall tradition. We want to give fairgoers a chance to make a difference in our community as well with this event.

Crush for a Cure is your chance to take out a little stress by beating on a clunker. For $1 per hit, you can swing our pink sledgehammer and smash the crush car. The car and sledgehammer have been painted pink for breast cancer awareness. On weekdays at the fair, the event will take place from 3-7 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays, it will take place from 1-7 p.m.

The money we raise from Crush for a Cure will be given to the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at UAMS in Little Rock. The Cancer Institute is a local organization doing great things towards finally finding a cure for cancer. Over the last four years, Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has raised over $20,000 for cancer research.

Can’t make it to the fairgrounds to swing the sledgehammer yourself? You can still help us raise money for cancer research! For every use of the #CrushForACure hashtag, we at Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will donate $1. If you snap a few photos or take a video of you hitting the crush car, make sure and post it on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram, use the hashtag and tag us. We want to see you having fun and it’s a great way to double your donation.

Crush for a Cure kicks off Thursday, Oct. 12 at 4 p.m. as we take the first swing. Once we hit the car, the clunker is fair game. Stop by our booth, near the main stage, anytime during the fair, which runs through Oct. 22.

We can’t wait to see you on the fairgrounds! For more information about Crush for a Cure, give us a call or stop by the booth. We’ll see you there!
