Dodge Stars & Stripes Edition for Challenger & Charger

Dodge is America’s performance car brand, so it’s only natural that it would release special editions to celebrate the men and women who serve and protect this country.

According to the “New Vehicle Customer Studies: October 2016-September 2018” by mTAB, active military buyers purchase Dodge vehicles more than any other brand, and the Challenger and Charger more than any other Dodge vehicle. It’s only natural that the Challenger and Charger get a special edition package for those who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces.

“Dodge is known for delivering custom looks straight from the factory,” Steve Beahm, FCA North America head of passenger car brands and parts & service, said in a statement. “We also have a strong following of buyers who are in the military, and well as many buyers who are patriotic. The Stars & Stripes Edition is an opportunity to deliver a custom look with unique elements that speak to those performance enthusiasts who want to extend their passion for their country to the Charger and Challenger.”

On the exterior, the Stars & Stripes Edition will feature a unique silver and satin black accent center stripe, satin black American Flag fender decals, 20×9-inch mid-gloss black wheels and black badging.

As far as performance, the Stars & Stripes Edition use bronze four-piston Brembo brake calipers, which are standard on Challenger R/T Scat Pack and Charger Scat Pack models, and are packaged with the Performance Handling Group on R/T models.

The interior of the Stars & Stripes Edition has unique black-on-black cloth seats with an embroidered bronze star, gloss black interior accents, bronze accent stitching, dark brushed II interior bezels and antique bronze instrument panel badge.

The Stars & Stripes Edition was on display for the first time at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. It will be available for $1,995 on the following models:

• Challenger and Charger GT RWD

• Challenger and Charger R/T

• Challenger R/T Scat Pack and Charger Scat Pack
