Jeep Announces the Winner of the 2019 “Find Your Freedom” Contest

When Jeep announced a one-day pre-order event for the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition, Jeep enthusiasts rushed to stake their claim on the modernized Jeep pickup. Little did they know that Jeep would be offering the entrant-exclusive contest, “Find Your Freedom,” for the chance to win $100,000 and pursue their adventure “wish-list.” After a mad dash to secure their 2020 Jeep Gladiator, 4,190 buyers found themselves entered into the contest.

Entrants were required to compose a brief video about what it means to be a “Gladiator.” With thousands of entries, judges from Jeep teamed up with U.S. Army veteran Noah Galloway to begin the rigorous selection process. Trudging through the multitude of entries, judges somehow narrowed the 4,190 entrants down to one. Steven Scott from Poway, Calif. was announced as the winner of the 2019 Jeep Find Your Freedom contest, earlier this month.

Steven’s life was changed forever when he was paralyzed from the waist down, due to an operation he had in 2009. However, Steven’s love for the outdoors only heightened his sense of adventure, even in the face of adversity. Steven and his wife Jocelyn are not only avid adventurers, but they’re both Jeep enthusiasts. The two even had their first date behind the wheel of a Jeep Wrangler Sahara.

The two plan on taking the rest of the year off and using the prize money to start checking items off of their adventure wish list. Steven is eager to test out the all-new 2020 Gladiator Launch Edition on the Rubicon Trail and participate in the Baja 100/500 race later this year.
