Price

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a starting price of $34,970, while the larger 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L has a starting price of $38,635.

 

Trim Levels

The Grand Cherokee is offered in seven trim levels: Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, SRT and Trackhawk. The Grand Cherokee L is offered in six trim levels: Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve. 

 

Technology

The Grand Cherokee L offers a modern interior upgrade with a 10.1-inch touchscreen with UConnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Alexa “Home to Car” functionality. In comparison, the Grand Cherokee has a standard 8.4-inch intuitive touchscreen with UConnect 4. 

 

Exterior

The exterior of the new Grand Cherokee L is a cross between the Grand Cherokee and the new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. The Grand Cherokee L features a sleek seven-slot grille with a forward slant like that of the original Wagoneer, but with wider and larger grille slots, elegant trim and new slim LED headlights. The body of the Grand Cherokee L is more sculpted than the Grand Cherokee and features an extended roof with a squared-off appearance. 

 

Powertrain

The Grand Cherokee is available with four engine options: a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that provides 295 horsepower; the 360-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 engine; the 475-horsepower 6.4-liter V8 with Fuel Saver Technology; or the 707-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. The Grand Cherokee L is offered with two, the standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine or the optional 5.7-liter V8. 

 

AWD Systems

The Grand Cherokee L provides buyers with a choice of the Quadra-Trac 1, Quadra Trac 2 and Quadra-Drive 2 4×4 systems, all of which include the class-leading Selec-Terrain traction management system. The Grand Cherokee is offered with the Quadra-Drive® II 4×4 System with Rear Electronic Limited-Slip Differential, the Quadra-Trac I® 4×4 System, the Quadra-Trac II® 4×4 System or the Quadra-Trac® SRT® 4×4 System.

 

Dimensions

The Grand Cherokee ranges from 189-191 inches long, 77 inches wide and 68-69 inches high. The Grand Cherokee L is 205 inches long, 78 inches wide and 72 inches high. Inside, the interior passenger volume of the Grand Cherokee is just 105.4 cubic feet compared to 159.1 cubic feet in the Grand Cherokee L. As for cargo capacity, the Grand Cherokee L offers an extra 16.3 cubic feet with the second and third row seats down.
