How to Keep Cool in Little Rock, AR This Summer
Summer is coming to a close, but Arkansas heat will stick around until the first snowfall in January. A state perk for some, however, not every Arkansan likes the heat that lingers. We at Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram are pros at cooling down on hot summer days since a lot of our business takes place outside. Keep reading for our suggestions on how to keep you and your car cool the rest of the summer.

Remote Start
The best way to get your car cooled down when you’re ready is to have it started before you leave. A vehicle with remote start will get the air flowing before you even step foot in the stale humid air that has been sitting in your seats. This way as soon as you open the door, cool air will hit you and wash away the humidity.

Ventilated & Cooled Seats
Temperature controlled seats were a genius invention. Ventilated seats get the air flowing between the seats to make sure hot air doesn’t get caught around your legs and back. Cooled seats perform the same way, but the air is refrigerated for an even better feel on 90-plus-degree days. Certain models of Jeep Cherokee and Compass, Chrysler 300 and Pacifica (Hybrid), and Ram heavy-duty trucks have ventilated seats. See those models in our inventory, as well as pre-owned vehicles of other makes that come with cooled seats.

Tops Off
Remove the top of your vehicle and let the wind cool you down. We suggest only removing tops of vehicles that can be easily put back on, like the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator and even the new Ford Bronco if you have one. The Jeeps also have removable doors to let even more wind through. Although the only vehicles we have with completely removable tops are the Wranglers and Gladiators, we do have a larger collection of vehicles with sunroofs to help circulate the air just as well.

Windows Down
If none of these options are available for your vehicle and your air is slow to kick in, we suggest the tried-and-true option of rolling the windows down. It lets the air circulate and once the interior is cooled down enough, the windows can roll right back up with little hassle.

Stay comfortable this summer with these tricks. The main goal is to get the air moving, whether you are harnessing the wind or your air vents.
