Christmas is over and the new year begins this weekend, but that doesn’t mean we have to stop the cheer. Even though it doesn’t quite feel like Christmas, thanks to the weather, we’re still going to keep the holiday spirit alive with our favorite activities. 1. Don’t store the Christmas albums yet. “Let It Snow,” “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and “Sleigh Ride” are a few winter songs that are about the winter and holiday season. But if you’re not ready to shelve your Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and Pentatonix Christmas albums just yet, keep them out for a while longer. We suggest turning up the volume to “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and singing along with the whole family.

2. Take a driving light tour. The holiday season is one of the busiest times of year for families. December is filled with shopping for presents, coordinating visits, catching up on work and so much more. If you weren’t able to take a drive through the neighborhood to view the twinkling lights on roofs and in yards, make sure you head out for a drive before they come down. 4. Cook together. Holiday dinners don’t have to stop with a ham and all the fixings at Christmas. Play Christmas music in the kitchen and cook up a batch of traditional food to bring luck in the new year like black-eyed peas or other beans, lentils and greens. Or go a different route and have a Mexican celebration!
