New Heritage-Inspired Options for Dodge SRT Vehicles

March 7th, 2018 by

The Dodge Challenger and Charger are muscle cars with storied pasts and deep roots in American history. Both vehicles have starred in movies, tv shows and are widely appreciated by car enthusiasts and Dodge lovers. You definitely can’t go to a classic car show without seeing these beloved classic cars.

Dodge and SRT already offer tons of parts and accessories for owners to customize their vehicles. Now Challenger owners will have even more options to customize their vehicles with a new heritage-inspired Shakedown Package. The package will be available on the Challenger R/T Shaker, R/T Plus Shaker and 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker models for 2018. The 1971 Dodge Shakedown Challenger that debuted at the 2016 SEMA show is the inspiration for the new package.

Additionally, 2018 Challenger and 2018 Charger owners will have two new bright exterior colors to choose from.

The Shakedown Package brings together modern styling with the classic muscle look.

On the exterior, the Shakedown Package has asymmetrical black racing stripes that start on the hood and extend up and over the Shaker hood coop, roof and rear decklid. Inside, the package includes white-face gauges and an upgraded Alpine audio system. With the upgraded audio system, there are six premium speakers and a 275-watt amplifier on the R/T Shaker. On the R/T Shaker Plus and 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker models, there are nine premium speakers and a 506-watt amplifier.

Along with the Shakedown Package, B5 Blue and Plum Crazy exterior paint colors are new for 2018 on all Chargers and Challenger T/A, T/A Plus and T/A 392 models. The colors will be available on other Challenger models later this year.

B5 Blue and Plum Crazy debuted in 1969 and 1970, respectively, and people consider them to be two of the most iconic paint colors for Challengers and Chargers. We at Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram are certainly happy to see them return.
