Our Top 10 Christmas Songs to Celebrate the Season

Christmas is right around the corner and we’re having a fantastic time watching Christmas lights and decorations pop up around the city! There’s a certain air to December– one filled with Christmas cheer and a sense of excitement and we couldn’t be more excited about it. We absolutely love hearing Christmas music make its way to the radio and we’d love to share our top 10 Christmas songs with you. Keep reading for our festive list!

  1. “The Little St. Nick” – Beach Boys

We adore the Beach Boys “The Little St. Nick” for its whimsical, beachcomber vibe and it’s no wonder that it made our top ten list. Try not to dance in your seat when this song comes on… we dare you.

 

  1. “Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time” – Paul McCartney and the Wings

The insatiable urge to sing and dance that “Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time” gives us, makes it  a no-brainer to include on our top ten list. 

 

  1. “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” – Michael Bublé

Michael Bublé has just the voice that Christmas needs to usher in the season. His entire Christmas album is stellar, but we have to say that “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” steals the show. 

 

  1. “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” – The Jackson 5

Back in their heyday, the Jackson 5 dominated the charts and solidified a place in our hearts. “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” highlights the group’s vocal talent and provides a wonderful rendition of the fan favorite Christmas song. 

 

  1. “All I Want for Christmas is You” – Mariah Carey

When Mariah hits the high note on that iconic ‘you,’ we lose our minds. The piano that rolls so smoothly off the note gets our spirits soaring and our feet tapping uncontrollably. 

 

  1. “Last Christmas” – Wham

As sad as “Last Christmas” is, we can’t deny just how catchy this song is. Wham absolutely nails the feeling of melancholy Christmas and, don’t lie, we know that you sing along every time it comes on.

You’re already singing it in your head. You can’t fool us. 

 

  1. “A Holly Jolly Christmas” – Burl Ives

Burl Ives’ low, crooning voice puts the Christmas spirit right in our hearts and gets us ready for Christmas specials and presents stacking up under the tree. Whether carving your turkey, curled up by the fire on Christmas Eve or tearing the packaging off of a gift, “A Holly Jolly Christmas” is a must have during the holiday season.

 

  1. “White Christmas” – Bing Crosby

While the odds are high that we’re not going to get a white Christmas this year, we can rest safely knowing that Bing Crosby has got us covered with his classic “White Christmas.” Bing’s voice has inspired all the dreamers, crafting visions of white, rolling hills and Christmas trees hiding behind candlelit windows. “White Christmas” falls into our number two spot, a difficult decision, but a well-deserved ranking nonetheless. 

 

  1. “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” – Andy Williams

There have never been words truer than “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” Andy Williams iconic voice has heralded the arrival Christmas season for decades and try as hard as you might, you can’t escape this legendary Christmas tune.
