Just because Halloween falls on a Monday this year doesn’t mean the trick-or-treaters are going to stay inside. We’re fully planning to take the kids out after work to go door to door asking for candy. At Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Little Rock, Arkansas we’ve put together a list of neighborhoods in and surrounding Little Rock that are safe for trick-or-treating.

• The Heights in Little Rock

An older, established neighborhood, The Heights has been a favorite spot for parents to take their little ones for years. The area is filled with varying styles and sizes of homes and is pedestrian-friendly.

• Chenal in Little Rock

The Chenal neighborhood has sidewalks and the whole area is safe for trick-or-treaters. We’ve heard the bigger houses in this area give out the best candy, so check those out!

• Pleasant Valley in Little Rock

Located near Rodney Parham in West Little Rock, Pleasant Valley has lots of modern houses. There is a golf course and country club nearby.

• Lakewood in North Little Rock

This neighborhood, off McCain Boulevard, likes to decorate for Halloween. The houses that are decorated, as we learned as kids, always give out candy. Start with the neighborhoods surrounding North Hills Boulevard and work your way up.

• Lake Wilastein Park in Maumelle

Lots of the neighborhoods in Maumelle are friendly to trick-or-treaters, including Lake Wilastein. Try some of the other surrounding housing editions behind Kroger as well and you’ll end up with full bags.

• Ashley Park in Bryant

Parents love this area because the streets are easy to walk and there is plenty of parking. Plus, the neighborhood is near the Bryant Municipal Courthouse.
