Work up your Appetite with a Holiday Fun Run!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited for time spent with family and our favorite foods. While most of us will be trotting between the dining room and the kitchen for seconds, some families will be out in the streets running in their local Turkey Trot race! 

The Go!bller is a Little Rock based Turkey Trot, featuring road, trail and track segments. With options for three, four or six and a half miles, the Go!bbler isn’t a competitive race. Last year saw 2,000 attendees walking, jogging and running across Little Rock, building up an appetite for their Thanksgiving feast. 

Have small children? The Tiny Trot is brand-new for 2019 and allows the younger runners to participate in the festivities. A short loop takes the young ones around the shop and requires them to be accompanied by a parent, but still lets them join in on the fun. Running with a stroller? Not a problem! Go! Running asks that strollers be kept behind the pack so as to not impede anyone’s movement, but they’re encouraged to join in on the trot. Dogs are also welcome, but encouraged to be kept on their leashes at all times. 

The entry fee is completely free, but Go! Running encourages runners to bring dry goods and canned goods to donate to the Arkansas Food Bank. Runners can also purchase an optional commemorative Go!bbler shirt or donate an amount of their choosing to help benefit the Arkansas Food Bank.

Been dying to wear your turkey socks? Have a turkey costume collecting dust in your closet? Slip that bird on and show up for the Go!bbler in costume! Have some fun with the family and start crafting pilgrim costumes to run in or create elaborate plumage to highlight your love for turkeys. Whatever you run in, you’ll have a blast participating in the Go!bbler!
